Project Runway back peddling.

Are you watching?

Do you want to strangle Gretchen? I do.
I also want to smack her "little followers" across the face.

I was SO happy that the "losers" won the group competition.

The other team is SO full of themselves...good night...who do you think you all are? The funniest thing...Miss Gretchen was back peddling so badly...tears and all...man I can't stand that girl. Gretchen is wretched...wretched.

And even though Casanova is kinda annoying...I'm glad he won.

I'm totally bummed they didn't give her the boot...She just thinks so much of herself that I can't handle it!

Hallelujah...Tim totally just called Gretchen out...and I am SO proud of him for pointing out what we all already know...awesome...knock her down a few notches!

Can't wait for another week!

I'm a huge slacker...

Seems like if I get away from my daily blog about sweet reality tv, that I get so behind, I'm not even sure how to catch up...so here is how I feel about what has happened in the past week...

Hell's Kitchen: the correct final 3 is the correct final 3.  It will be interesting to see who will be up against the bald guy (let's be honest...you know who I am talking about better then if I used his name)...but I am pretty sure that "Kevin" will win the whole thing...just my opinion.  Can I just say that I am a little annoyed by his language...mostly because he has a small child that will be watching the show and seeing a whole lot of bleeps and cloudy mouths due to his use of those 4 letter words.  Guess he can't go telling the little one not to use such language if he does on national tv...I'm just saying.

Amazing Race: I kinda skimmed through this past Sunday's episode...I'm not sure why, maybe because I had a ton of other shows to get through....I wasn't sad about the older couple going home.  They seemed so nonchalant about the challenges...I guess it's a good thing they had a good time!

So you think you can dance: I'm SO glad we are finally in Vegas! I am SO glad that many of the people they spotlighted in the first few weeks have gotten the boot! I am SO glad that Dance doesn't promote their top 20 prior to them being in the top 20...it's fun that we usually don't have a clue who any of them are when the real comp begins!  Did any one else notice the blond curly hair girl.  They put here through to Vegas after her city try-out on Tuesdays show...isn't she the younger sister of Kaitlyn from last season (sucky Kaitlyn that stayed in the top 20 way too long).  I'm pretty sure that was her...how come they didn't remind us of this...is it because she makes the top 20 this year and they don't want her to have an unfair advantage???  I'm just curious!  Oh, and in case you are wondering.....I LOVE this show!  I LOVE the judges!  I LOVE nappytabs (just wanted to remind you all)....can't wait till next week and more Dance!

Project Runway: Last week they worked in teams doing "blue" outfits...what cracked me up about the outfits last week, is the designers who were so proud and sure of their outfits were in the bottom...and the designers that were being made fun of by others were in the top...Awesome! Hey designers, if you are creating an outfit for Macey's you may want to go more ready to wear not runway ready...just a tip from an average dresser.  and this week is the wedding dress challenge...again, the designers that are so sure and cocky are hurtin'...lovin' it.  My girl Althea is staying safe and pretty in the middle for few weeks running.  Irina has been steppin' it up the past few weeks...I think at this rate she will go far!

Survivor: SO So SO happy that loud mouth Ben got the boot last week...I haven't watched this week...in my dreams Russ is gone...but I know that is just a dream.

Have I missed any shows...Nope...still not watching Dancing with the stars or ANTM...you are on your own there:)

What's black and white and "red" all over...

Do you remember all those jokes?  I was telling myself lots of them during an episode full of lots of newspaper.  May I just say, that I was highly impressed with pretty much every outfit that came down that runway...I mean, c'mon people....it was newspaper! My favs were the judges favs...along with the red dress by the blonde girl.  I liked that one a lot.  I was glad that Johnny was sent home...after his big fat lie about the steamer spitting...who would use a steamer on paper anyway.  AND, I am pretty sure we all watched him wad it up after Tim bagged on it...I also loved that Tim pointed out the lie after Johnny left.

I am wondering about the judges.  Don't get me wrong, I love Tommy Hilfiger (and Eva pointing out he never irons his own clothes)...but where are the "real judges"....

Of course I watch project runway...

My cousin brought it to my attention that I haven't been blogging about Project Runway...there is just too much going on...but I am totally watching...I LOVE this show. Sometimes there are too many outfits during the first few weeks of the show to comment on, or even remember...I'll try to do better.

I don't really have any favorites by way of designers yet.  Althea usually makes outfits I like and she seems pretty "normal and down to earth", so I was glad to see her win immunity on Sunday. My cousin also pointed out a funny comment made by the guest judge...about the model not being a designer...it was awesome.  Just because you wear high fashion doesn't mean you know anything about it!

I hope all of you are enjoying the new season...I am.  And it looks like this week is the episode where they have to use some crazy "material" to create a design...should be fun!

(I am struggling to pull pics of the outfits off the website...so I will figure it out before the next show so I can put up my fav and nonfav outfits)

I heart project runway...

I'm so glad this show is back...and tonight...maternity wear...overall...not all that bad.  Although...let's be honest about one thing....NO ONE who gets pregnant wears a size zero with a watermelon in their belly...NO ONE...I wanted to see how great those short dresses looked with the swollen ankles.  Even Rebecca Romjin had a chubby little face to go along with her prego tummy...that's all I'm saying!

**Okay...so I just read that she had twins...so I will give her the chubby face:)

Hurray...it's back!

Don't miss it....

Project Runway has moved to lifetime and premieres tomorrow night....

And the winner is...

Leann...
and thank goodness they finally ungreased her hair and put her in cute dress instead of the same dreadful out fit she wore all season!

Her line was inspired by "water" and "waves"...I know that may be hard to tell from her collection!  It was very pretty, but definitely, not my fav....

I still think Korto should have won with her bold oranges, blues and greens and fabulous outfits...oh well!

I know, I know...this was over a week ago, but I have been out of town (I'm still out of town) so I am a little behind my game!  I just want to give a special thanks to AJ and Jo-dan for finally putting their thoughts and opinions on their reality!

These are wedding dresses???

Only 3 can show at Fashion week...but there are 4 remaining. How will they choose??? Oh...make a wedding dress that reflects your personal style and goes with your clothing line. Okay...but would anyone really wear one of these dresses? Maybe...but I am not sure who!  Then they had to make a bridesmaid dress to go along with the wedding dress...oh dear!  Let's just say....everyone's tastes are different.  Okay, on to the final 3!

I really can not stand Kinley, I am sure I have said that a few times...but it really can't be said enough! So I am sad to say that she is "in" and will be showing her collection at New York Fashion week....dang it! I can not stand the fabrics she chooses..the prints are terrible. I also can not stand her designs...ahhh...I'm mad. BUT, my girl Korto is still in and that makes me sooo happy! Oh, and the other girl too! Sorry Jerrel..but you will not be able to show your collection that you have been slaving over for the past 4 weeks!

So I am a little bummed, because next week I will be out of town and won't be able to see the show until almost a week later. I will probably cheat and see who wins of course, because I couldn't bear to not know! Go Korto!

A little bit country...a little bit rock and roll!

This week on Project Runway the final 5 designers and to design outfits based on musical Genres for each other....I just want to make a note that Kenley is the biggest whiner "woa's me" "I'm such a good designer....nobody understands me"....waa, waa, waa!

Okay here are the designers wearing another designers designs...
Jerrell is Rock 'n Roll designed by Suede

Big freak'n whiner Kenley "Spears" AKA Pop...designed by Jerrell.

Korto is country designed by Leanne

Leanne is Hip Hop, designed by Kenley...I know,  know...so not hip hop!
And then there is Suede....designed by Korto.
This is the winning design....YEAH!  Korto finally wins one!

Unfortunately...Suede lost and was "auf'd".  I am so upset the Kenley is still in this competition....she really is my least fav!

Wednesday night reality

ANTM:  There are just too many girls to even keep track of still...I only know that names of the girls who annoy! Case in point....Brittney.  Every time she was on the screen she talked about how she doesn't just want to be "pretty"...if life was only that hard!  Poor Brittney...not being talked about as high fashion and a "top model" already...poor baby....hey...GO HOME!  Yipee..she's gone!  Oh...the photo shoot this week was swimsuits!  And really...they didn't have horrible things to say about any of the shots....so not a entirely eventful shoot.  BUT...the best part of the show...MAKEOVERS!!!  Love that!  And of course...all the after shots were a huge improvement over the blah blah looks from before.  I would like to go on the show simply to have my haircut by a very expensive hair dresser....

Project Runway...the designers designed outfits for recent college grads, as they enter the workforce.  BIG CATCH: mommy is along for the ride.  And when I say ride, I mean highly opinionated and overbearing...well this shall be fun!  Okay...really....who
wears these clothes? Normally when I ask this question on a typical week...the answer is, only on the runway...but this week they are to design for normal everyday people doing everyday jobs...so seriously, who wears
these clothes?  The winner: Jarell....His outfit was fine.  I, of course, like Korto's the best.  Oh well...at least she was in the top 3.  The loser: Joe.  Thank goodness....he isn't a good designer and his outfit was terrible....

Top Design...and if you are a fan of project runway...this is a happy night for you.  Former project runway contestants are the clients for the designers.  The challenge: design a store front for an outfit designed by the project runway person...following?  Have I used the word design
enough?  I LOVE this show...I am just amazed at these people and how they are able to come up with such amazing ideas...the colors they choose and accessories...I just wish I could do it!  The "TOP DESIGN": Ondine and Natalie.  They designed for Sweet Pea and I loved it.  The loser....Kerry "Big Daddy" and Wisit (who sucks).  Unfortunately, Kerry was sent home.  I am very sad because I really like him.  Chazi (sp?)...is a terrible designer...okay...maybe not terrible...but is riding coattails big time!!!  I wish she and Wisit would go!  My fav designers right now are Natalie and Andrea (aka...Ricky Schroeder's wife).

Wednesday on Bravo...

I always look forward to Thursday mornings when I can sit and enjoy 2 hours of Bravo tv....they show there "new" shows way too late on Wednesday night for me to watch.  Oh...and whoever watched Next Top Model...please fill me in...I forgot to record it last night.

Okay...I love project runway...but this season I haven't really loved any one particular designer.  Well...I take that back...the 2 I was originally liking...were "aufed", but I do still love Korto:  and for the past few weeks she has been more then safe...so here's hoping.  I guess the personalities of the designers are just real blah this season, even Korto.  Oh well...it is still so fun to watch what they come up with and to listen to Heidi's accent and Michael Kohrs crazy evaluations!!!  There is one chick (not going to take the time to look her up) that I am shocked is still on, she totally bugs (long dark hair and dresses like she wants it to be 1963).....sadly Blayne from Seattle (woowoo) left us last night (sniff sniff) along with Terri (hallelujah).  Yep, a double elimination...Good, let's get this show on the road!  I'm not going into the details...it was avant garde night based on the designers "signs" and their looks were terrible in contrast to last season's avant garde runway...oh well!

Now Top Design...it is turning into one of my fav design shows....last night they were put into pairs and had to decorate a "fall out shelter".  They seriously had bomb shelters for them to decorate...100% cement with a huge door that could be sealed shut.  It was amazing what they did to these rooms...however, no room would ever be livable for 50 years...if you couldn't leave.  Little Ricky Schroeder's wife is on as a designer and I have to say that I actually enjoy her (so far)...last night she and her teammate had the "Top Design"...

Bravo tv has done it again!

Maybe I only need to watch the Bravo channel...they seem to have a reality tv show for everything...clothes, food and now interior decorators....hair, salons, real estate and on and on.  Okay so Top Design is actually in its 2nd season...but I have just discovered it and woohoo, I know have another reality comp show to enjoy.  It airs just after Project Runway, if you care to view.  It is almost the exact same show as "the next design star" on HGTV...but hey, I ain't complaining...I love this stuff!

Okay...quick recap of Project Runway....Stella that black clad...always uses grommets girl was "aufed"...so glad!  I am pretty sure I didn't enjoy a single thing she made!!!

Welcome him home with open arms...

We were hopeful that our local designer would put on a good showing for us in NYC and bring home the big prize...because "it's hard to be homosexual in UT and when you are from a big mormon family". Keith, our SLC native was "Aufed" Wednesday night from Project Runway...I can't say I was entirely sad to see him go....but his outfits weren't that terrific...

Episode 1: stuff from a grocery store...he used plastic tablecloths...so did most people, judges unimpressed...

Episode 2: "green" fabrics:

Episode 3: outfit that the female athletes would wear during the opening ceremonies....Could you picture them walking out in this????

Episode 4: I don't remember, but I do remember the judges saying something about it looking like TP...
Episode 5: make an outfit for Brooke Shield's character on Lipstick Jungle...this is actually a good one...

Episode 6: Drag queens...no comment on this ragamuffin thing.

Episode 7: be innovative with car materials (ie. seatbelts, seat fabrics, and other innards of cars)...well...this is the losing outfit...shocked?  me either...not innovative...boring!

Good luck Keith with your future in Salt Lake fashion!

You better work....

I know, I KNOW.....I was wondering where "she" went too....and now we know that "she" is still alive and well. Rupaul graced the camera once again by guest judging on Project Runway.  And who better to be a judge for this show....

Make a costume for a drag queen...and costumes they were:

The winner:
The Loser:

Thanks Rupaul....it was great to see you again...by the way, whatever happened to your afternoon tv talk show?

lipstick jungle vs. cashmere mafia

This past spring during the writer's strike, 2 new show premiered...both were about beautiful high-powered women in NY....so if you like well dressed women in powerful jobs struggling in their personal lives then either show is for you...I have yet to determine which I truly enjoy...if either, BUT Brooke Shields is a star of Lipstick Jungle (a book authored by the same woman who did Sex in the City) and so in the need to promote her show....she graced Project Runway giving the little seamstresses the opportunity to create a day-to-evening outfit for her character on the show. The winner's outfit to be worn during the show this coming season. Only 6 designs were made as the final 12 worked in teams. Here are the outfits....you decide what you like:

I was a little bummed last night because my original top pick was "out" and now I am not really sure who I will cheer on.  I am liking Terri more and more...and the salt lake guy is still in, although I haven't been a huge fan of his till this outfit...so time will tell!

I'm all alone in TV reality land

Both of my cohorts are off gallivanting the greater United States and have left me here all alone in TV reality land...it's a good thing I have my shows.

Let's talk LCS:  Last night's episode...send the comedians to the Play Boy Mansion...if anyone watches the "girls next door" on E you are already familiar with Hef's 3 girls...not the brightest, shall we say.  Anyhow, they were to listen to each comedian tell them a bedtime nursery story...that was supposed to be funny.  Hmmm...not really so funny.  Marcus (the man of voices) won, not surprising...and he should have.  I think that was a hard competition...kind of stupid really!  So Marcus get immunity and has a direct flight to Vegas for the finale...shocker: the rest of the comedians will be performing and America will vote on who else goes to the finale.  Finally, America can show the producers who truly are the funny ones on the show.  The 7 perform and let's just say that I have my favs...#1 Jeff Dye, I think he is hilarious and I love his delivery.  I tend to enjoy the comics who bring up stuff from childhood....ie Mario Brothers (the original and best game ever).  #2 Iliza---last night was not her best performance but still pretty funny and hopefully America will take into account her previous 2 weeks of hilarious material.  A far #3 Louis Ramey...he was pretty funny last night, borderline inappropriate but funny.  Then the rest I don't really care:  The Canadian (Sean Cullen) was actually clean last night and fairly humorous...farmer song was good (reminded me a little too much of Jack Black).   Ron G had some funny jokes, but he bugs me a bit.  My bottom 2 are definitely Jim Tavare and Adam Hunter.  Jim is boring to me and Adam went WAY over the line.  Not my style of jokes at all!  I am thinking that 6 go to the finales so hopefully those 2 will not!

Shear Genius: I'm telling you, it you have Bravo....set your DVR.  It is so hilarious to see these h
air stylists totally makeover someone's hair and then the judges rip them apart...gotta make the person with the new haircut feel REAL good!

And I finally caught up on Project Runway (also a must watch).  The first episode they had to buy their "materials" at a Grocery store...most went for the table cloths of course...which was to
o easy...but there were some pretty cool outfits...the winner made her dress out of vacuum bags that she bleached and stained and the bodice was made out of coffee filters...my fav was that she made the back closure out of hook and eyes...otherwise known as the wire from a spiral notebook...it was cool.

Episode 2, their models got to do the shopping for "green" fabric and then the designers made them cocktail dresses....very interesting.  You'd think that after all the fabulous clothing these models wear they would have some taste in fabric and color...but not so much!  The winner's dress was cool...not so much cocktail dress in my opinion, but cool!

Okay...the designers:  our UT guy is still in and does fine work.  There is a guy from Seattle that is "tanned" out...guess he has figured out to get his Vitamin D while living in the beautiful NW.  He also will be the annoying and crazy one for the season...he is trying way to hard to use one term and coin it as his own...like the winner last year using "fierce" all the time.  It's a bit obvious.

My fav is the blond girl (Kelli), she won the first challenge and the dark haired girl (Kenley) who should have won the second....

Let me know if any of you are watching these shows...

not BRAVO, BRAVO TV

WHY....WHY....does Bravo have to only promote their shows on Bravo...how am I too know when my new shoes are starting?  Project Runway premiered last week....LAST WEEK...Argh!  I'm so glad that I decided to take some time to track that down so I can be on top of it all.

This is Keith...he is from SLC...
graduated from SLCC...should be fun to see how he does!

PS...if you aren't watching Shear Genius on Bravo, you should!  It is quite fun!  Really, it's project runway with hair...AND...it's a former Charlie's angel that hosts and judges...guess if you have ever had "wings" you qualify as a hair expert!!!!

PPS...Flipping out (not a show about hair) is a show about a guy that flips homes...it isn't about the homes so much as about the guy and his assistants and how CRAZY he is...and I mean CRAZY! He has sweet waxed eyebrows and collagen lips...quote from the show I watched today (he was investing in a small apartment complex (5 units--$3000/mo) "Good news...every one that lives here is attractive".  Awesome!
