Sad I joined the season so late.

I had no idea that last night was the finale of Salon Takeover...how sad that I don't get to see atrocious salons turned into clean functional places.  What I would really like to see is Tabitha revisit these places a year from her takeover...that would be a true test.

Last night's episode was about an LA salon with a "crazy" owner...I really think she was crazy!  The only people I know that talk in the third person are designers on project runway...maybe that is her next goal.  Her receptionist was awful and her hair stylists were no one I would want to go to.  It was a fairly entertaining to watch everyone blame every one else for all the problems and the owner to constantly burst into tears...get a grip!  The other thing I find humorous on this show is how defensive the stylists immediately get when ever Tabitha starts talking...They yell, swear, talk over her...I'm thinking...you are the employee, what gives you the right to talk to her like that....whatever!

What I have learned from this show...when I now go to a salon I pay particular attention to the surroundings...the consultations...the staff interaction...and if I can figure out who is in charge...kinda fun, you should try it!

While paying bills today...I had my tv on Bravo and caught pieces of the following shows:

Salon Takeover   Rachel Zoe   Million Dollar Listing

Let me make a few suggestions....avoid Million Dollar Listing.  This show is about young 30 somethings who sell multi-million dollar homes and are more then full of themselves.  Rachel Zoe is a stylist to the stars...her big thing is dressing them for award shows, photo shoots and movie junkets....I only saw part of one show and it was her assistants swearing at each other and then Rachel and her husband having drama...I was wondering why this show isn't on E.

Now, Salon Takeover with Tabitha, is actually a pretty good show.  Tabitha comes across as very full of herself, at time...but she actually does great things for Hair Salons that are failing.  She is pretty hard on the hair stylists...but can also be very positive and helpful.  In addition, she makes over the salons....it is like most reality shows of this sort....and enjoyable enough to not turn the channel.  I don't know if I was watching a previous season or current, or when it is even on regularly...so if you are interested, check your local listings!
