The final dances.....ohhh, I can hardly wait!

I will be giving a play by play and let me just say....Twitch is beyond kissing up....giving Kat a hug as they leave the stage after the intro....bug!

And why is Mandy Moore judging...I would rather her choreograph.

Courtney and Twitch (hip hop)--just watching the rehearsal...they bug me (sorry).  Okay, the dance.  Started off fine...but the lifts towards the end were BAD...I'm not really sure they pulled those off.  Stop screaming Mary...do they have to hype it up that it is a finale...seriously, everyone is watching...they weren't that great!

Courtney interview--not making me like her anymore!

Courtney solo: whatever...not very good for a final solo....and her pocket came out...what do you put in a pocket in that type of top?

Josh & Katee with a Wade Robson (I LOVE Wade): Oh, I love them too!  Wade's routine are not as good since he got married....but they did a GREAT job!!!! Amen Nigel....amen!

Katee & Courtney: Broadway--really?  That was it?  Sorry, did not like that at all.  I'm sick of Courtney's "aw shucks" look.  I think the judges were told to only say positive things...and if there weren't any, make 'em up.  Thank you Nigel for some honesty, however, there is more then "this little bit" between the 2 of them....there's about 5 years difference in skill and ability and talent.

Twitch interview: Feel the same about him...I'm not sure I like these interviews.

Twitch solo: Finally....we see the real skill in his hip hop ability.  I have been waiting all season to see him just dance and not be so full of himself with the audience.  It was a great solo...first of his solos that I have enjoyed....great!

Twitch & Josh: Twitch is jealous of Josh's bum in all those pants.  Russian what????  I am sooo bummed, I have been so looking forward to a hip hop duo....ahhhh, I am so mad! It's a russian hip hop battle???  Let's see: Was I supposed to take that serious?  The only parts that I liked were when they were doing their tricks...the rest just seemed that they were making fun of russian dancing...okay, Josh wins...the competition will go even through the judges comments...they just don't give up.

Katee interview: It's hard to believe that she was "that girl" that said she wouldn't try out again and we all disliked her so...but man is she good.  It was interesting to watch the flash backs of her routines....there were very few that I didn't absolutely love.  She really is fabulous....  

Katee solo:  fairly similar to previous routines. Does anyone else think that she looks like she has lot a ton of weight...she is looking really scrawny tonight!

Twitch & Katee: Fox trot--well, it was a fox trot.  She sure has pretty lines (yes, I said lines) I used to dance so I can say stuff like that.  At least Twitch did better partnering with her then Chelsea last week.  

Josh interview: Okay....now that interview was great....I know, I know....I am totally bias!

Josh solo:  BEST EVER!!!!!  Such a great personality...so cute...so love him!!!!

Josh & Courtney: Jive--oh, it's the australian guy: I do not understand their outfits...his seems very 60s...what is hers?  Oh yea..."pjs".  I don't really know how to comment...I'm not really loving it....I'm glad Nigel was honest again.  I do feel a bit bad...it's the fastest routine and they do it after they have already done 3 others.  

All 4: Mia...yeah!!!  Maybe not so yeah...It's Mia getting in touch with her Celtic side?

Okay...my overall thoughts...Last week's performances (each and everyone) was amazing!  Really, amazing!  This week was....hmmmm.....that's it.  I really was underwhelmed....so I hope everyone will vote based on previous weeks.  I really don't know how to vote....I really have my favs (shocking, I know), so do I go with those, or who I think America will pick.  Okay let's be honest...I have no chance of winning, so I am going to pick based on what I want to see happen.

Alright...looks like everyone will be watching the show on their own this time....summers are just hard! BUT....we will still be voting and awards will be given to the top place finisher....this award needs to be proudly displayed in a place where more then just your family can view it! (jo-dan...if you get a chance take a pic of last's years award and post)

I have updated points based on previously chosen "final four"...AJ I gave you 5points because that is what most people had earned...if you deserve more, let me know ASAP so I can make adjustments. Alright....here are the rules for the final voting:

After Wednesdays show you will "comment" and list the order in which the final four will be eliminated (in the past they have gone by points), from last place to 1st place (4th place:????, 3rd place:????, etc). You will get 5 points for each correct position (for 4th, 3rd and 2nd) and 10 points if you pick the correct winner. You will get a bonus 10 points if you get all 4 positions correct. There is a total of 35 points available.

Mark & Courtney: viennese (sp?) waltz--Is Courtney wearing her pjs?  pretty...but that's all, just pretty!....ohhh...maybe they wear their pjs "down under" when they do this dance?!

Chelsea solo:  maybe someone should tell her that at this point she can branch out and do more then just her "genre"...I still love her!

Twitch solo: I don't really understand him...yes personality is important, but I was kinda bugged by the grill and glasses thing (they looked better on Cat)...good showing of his twitchiness.

Katee and Joshua: Contemp--I love them!!!!  I am I going to ever choose!  I loved the split leap that Josh caught in the lift...AMAZING!!!!  I loved it, loved it, loved it!

Chelsea and Twitch---ummmm....Twitch missed her a lot...not a good partner.  Of course Mary is going to give Twitch props...he can do now wrong!  Whatever...it was fun to watch, but only because of Chelsea.

Katee solo: always the same...slow movements far from the camera, then run, run, run to the camera with a big smile.  I do like her a lot...I do...I just wish she would change up her solos.

Joshua solo: 3 words: I love him!

Mark and Courtney: jazz---pjs again Courtney?  Did Mark choreograph his part?  Okay, the judges are probably going to praise them...but I am not sure about it....I guess it fits the mohawk girl.  I think my problem is that I am not a huge fan of Courtney and I am tired of all her pjs...I may need to rewatch, but not tonight...

Katee and Josh: pasa doble (sp?)--It's taken the whole season, but Josh finally got his shirt off.  My goodness he looks so angry!  I'll just say it again...I love them..him...them!  Loved the music with the whole thing....so cool!

Courtney solo:  just like any other solo "I choreographed it myself"...good, but nothing to write home about!

Mark solo: what is his forte???? anyone???? weird, but Mark so good...interesting!

Chelsea and Twitch:  Hip hop (woo..woo...I love Tabitha & Napolean)  She's so cute!  Fab idea...perfect dance for these 2.  Not my fav of the season...but great...very clever!

If you can believe it...we have almost made it to the final four...I believe they just send a boy and girl home with no bottom anything....so in the comments...put who goes home!!!  Best of luck!!!

Dance results...here come your top 10!

Did any one else notice that Mia and Thayne were wearing the same tank...the one that Mark wore the night before during the broadway routine....It's the "new wife beater".

1st number was good...the hip hoppers SHINED...they make the non hip hoppers look kinda lame.  And to be honest...the glow in the dark arm thing was not so great...I'm sure the idea was good...but the execution didn't really work for me.

Ohhhhh....I didn't realize that it was a rule that hot, chiseled black men are never allowed to wear shirts...now I get why wardrobe only ever puts the beautiful black male contestants in pants and never shirts...thank you special guest dancers for helping me understand that rule!

Thoughts on individual dances (before I know who goes home)

Comfort---is she asking to go home...if I knew that all breaking and hip hop was, is running around the stage...well I could do that.

Thayne---I think I needed a back story....not his best...seemed disconnected...hmmm.

Jessica---I am so sick of that stupid drop to the floor where one leg is straight and one is bent...every female contemp dancer does that....not very good!

Will---see...no shirt!  What???  I didn't even get it...did he copy Comfort's routine with the running...Not really my thing.

Kherrington---I feel like I have seen her dance this before....slooooowwww down...why does everyone have to dance so fast?  They just all look so spastic and not good.

People come on...if the judges like any of these I will be shocked!

Twitch---Now that is a solo...thank you!  Loved how he incorporated the music conducting into his dance....so great!!!!

Katie Perry---good thing she isn't trying out for Dance...'cause girlfriend can't...guess she should stick with kissing girls.  Sweet outfit!:)

Dance Results...

I really liked the dance number at the beginning...it almost looked like a Wade Robson (who we are missing sooooo much this year!) Ok...here are the results. The bottom 3 were Kourtni and Matt (shocker!), Courtney and Gev (which is very, very disappointing to me), and Comfort and Thayne (another shocker!). When they danced for their lives, Kourtni appeared to be very heavy and slow, Matt was very long...his legs just kept going and going and going, Courtney and Gev totally rocked the solos...they were both incredible, Comfort was not very good at all, and Thayne smiled too much. Really, Matt and Thayne were fairly comparable with their contemporary dancing, but Gev was awesome...the judges ended up sending Kourtni home (even though I thought they would send Comfort home after her solo...) as well as Matt (who I would have kept, and gotten rid of Thayne...but that's just my opinion). We think it's a little suspicious that there are always so many contemporary dancers in the bottom...I guess there are more contemporary dancers in the competition, but still. Here are your points for this week:

Dance Results...

Here are the results from the Thursday night show...the bottom three couples included Chelsea and Thayne, Comfort and Chris, and Kourtni and Matt, with Chelsea and Chris going home. Congratulations to Calvin who received a perfect score this week and moved up several places in the competition...so it is only a matter of time before he takes the lead! And congratulations to Teri for not being in last place anymore! Funny thing is that Chelsea didn't even watch the show this week, and Janet didn't vote, so what's your excuse? I'm obviously kidding, you got more points than I did this week!

The addition of points is for this weeks is as follows:

So, do you guys know how professional or semi-professional athletes are not allowed to play in church or city sporting events? Well, I kind of think of Calvin as being a professional or semi-professional dancing instructor...which means his guesses are really null and void because of his obvious knowledge and wisdom. I am not saying that Calvin can not continue playing...to the contrary, I have loved reading his honest and fact-filled reviews of the dancers, as well as his witty banter. However, what I am saying is that, in the end, if my score is anywhere near Calvin's, I will technically consider myself to be the winner...and I might be expecting some sort of trophy to add to last years trophy in my office...I just thought you should all know that.

Now...I'm a little traumatized. Not to say Chelsea T. shouldn't have gone home (because she just kept going down hill every single week) but I had her in my top four (because she was really great...at the beginning...I swear...). Do I think Jessica is worse than Chelsea? YES!!!! Do I think Jessica should have gone home tonight? Double YES!!! I think her dancing was WAY worse than Kourtni and Matt, but I guess I am not the "pulse" of America. No shock with Chris going...he's just big and awkward. In fact, we all had him going home, so kudos to us! Ok boys and girls...this is how we will be voting from now on, so I hope it is working for all of you. Let us know if this is too difficult...

Jessica & Will: disco--I HATE disco, but I did not HATE this one...not bad...didn't mind watching

Chelsea T & Thayne: Quickstep--more like quickstep to dance a solo....the song killed it for me. Don't get me wrong, I like that song...but it felt off and odd and wrong! BY the by...his smile is buggin'

Chelsea H & Mark: Hip Hop---if you haven't heard by now...I LOVE Hip Hop....I LOVE Chelsea....I LOVED this routine....chills, chills, chills...so GREAT!!!!!

Katee & Josh: Samba--I may never get over the fact that I don't like her...but I LOVE him! amazing...hip hop my a**. It is funny to me that in most dances my eye naturally goes to the girl...but with these 2...it is only Josh...especially in those pants...are you kidding me???? Fabulous routine!!!!
