Not usually my favorite show, but this season they have Donny Osmond and Kelly Osborn dancing. Too bad not together :) Oh, and Macy Grey will dance. Hopefully they'll get her to sing as well!

American Idol seems like it won't be here until forever. January 2010. But since we lose Paula, who's complaining???

although I hated the way she wore her hair tucked behind her ears...which made her eyes look creepily big...I was always amazed at how beautiful she looked during photo shoots...

it's too bad Allison didn't take the title...way nicer of a girl.

It's makeover time!!!

I think the makeover show is the best episode on Top Model...Tyra uses words like "edged out".

The bug eye girl...they gave her a LOT of hair...which really is good 'cause it helps her eyes not stick out as much.  and the fro girl...not even her fro....who knew?  Love Courtney's red hair...not so much Tyra calling her "code red". Natalie...about having a freak out to have her hair cut off...do people not know that hair grows back...and then they didn't even do anything.  I would have chopped it off just because she acted like such a baby.  Then 'FO' totally freakin' out over her short hair...silly girls!

"Keep it cute...or put it on the mute"...my favorite phrase of the night!

Photo shoot...light yourself.  I like when Nigel photographs...mostly 'cause he is nice to look out.  The girls had to use light sticks to "light" themselves...mostly, they all just looked awkward. But the worst one of the night....Jessica...sorry girlfriend that "your pretty isn't translating in your photos"...

Can you hardly stand it...it's time for "cycle 12"

I have a lot of "feelings" towards Tyra...I can't quite figure out who she thinks she is...besides completely full of herself. But alas, I do enjoy watching anything to do with fashion and modeling...a world I almost thought would be fun to be in (when I was 17)...but then I realized I enjoyed eating. Of course there is always "plus size" modeling. But I learned last night that there is a plus size model (size 12 I believe)...then there is the skinny model...then those in between...who I guess we just get to call fat....nice.

But these girls (except for one) are of the "skinny model" type. Now...most reality shows where people are trying to win the show by way of there skills...they have accomplished that skill before. Like on Top Chef...they don't just gather people and then see if they can cook. Or Project runway...hey you...why don't you try putting these 2 pieces of fabric together with that machine over there...NO...these people are great at what they do...and we want to see who is the best. So I would think that on Top Model....we would have a bunch of models and then find that one that is the "top"...so it amazes me that most of these girls have never "walked a runway" let alone done a photo shoot....what the crap? What's even worse...is they know they are going to be on the show...and they don't practice...or study real runway models...I don't get it. I will even admit "walking the runway" a few times in my teenage years....you know, just in case I was "discovered".

So here we have a large group of girls...some are beautiful...and some, well....not so much. Then you have the attitude..the drama...the "j's" and I guess you have a good show. As we start with our 36...to then be narrowed to 21...and then to our top 13...we get to see the craziness that is out there in this world...here are a few of my favorites:

The conspiracy theory girl....who the crap is she....Monique...and her walk is BAD!
Alex...the girl with all that attitude and trash talk...in the ruffly shirt...that's funny!
Girl that slept in the port authority...her nails are yuck!
Celia...I think she is pretty...I like her eyes..but at "25" girl you are old!
Creepy eyes...not pretty....just creepy...and her hair is bad...she is weird!!!

Alright...first cut down...let's get this party moving...Hey they all made it through to the top 21...and then Tyra so cleverly reminds us that they cut to 21 'cause they are in Vegas...get it "21"..."vegas"...man who produces such good tv????

Now we will have the girls all become "goddesses" and pose...and then cut again...so Here are your top 13 that will be moving to NY to live in a swanky pad and then amuse us with their drama and bad modeling:

Their first task is to walk the runway...it was completely horrible...the only highlight was Sandra walking halfway down the runway...stopping and going back...then she told the judges she thought she went to the right spot to turn around...Ummm, Sandra...what do you think the rest of the runway is for?

On to their their first photo shoot...one of Tyra's passions is the young girls of America...oh Tyra...thank you for caring so much. So to show this passion...she has the girls dress as "little girls" playing "children's favorite" playground games. You know...tag, london bridges, hop scotch. Of course you can't play these games alone...so you can play with 3 "extras" dressed as girls that have grown up too fast, including a pregnant girl that is drinking. Nice.

And then we have our first judges table. My favorite part of this is where they trash what the girls are wearing and have them take things off...hello...you didn't pick models to be on your show...so how are they supposed to know how to dress. Besides...have you seen what real models where when they are just out and about...not pretty.

Well...sadly...one of our girls had to leave us tonight...and the loser is: Kerrington...Oops, I mean Isabella.  I'm kinda bummed 'cause I liked her.  With her in the bottom 2 was drama queen Sandra...hopefully she will go soon!

Next week is makeover week...and even if you don't like the show...that is an episode not to be missed!

Dear Tyra, You love to break it down, but it's time to have somebody break it down for you. "America's Next Top Model" has become a hot mess... minus the hot. Even before you took home an undeserved Emmy for that daytime gabber of yours, you were phoning it in. As a result, you are no longer in the running to become 'America's Next Top Modeling Competition Hostess.' Let's be real. You are no Niki Taylor ("Make Me A Supermodel"). You can't hold a candle to Heidi Klum ("Project Runway"). In fact, you can't even compete with the disaster that is Janice Dickinson ("The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency"). The world, the CW, and the show's few remaining fans would be much better off if you peaced out. So, pack up your fake photography resume, your outdated advice, and your weave, and leave the critiquing and catwalking to the real stars of the show: Nigel Barker and Miss J. Alexander. And feel free to take Mr. Jay with you!

Oh and by the way...besides Tyra needing to be axed from her own show...Mckey won "this cycle" of ANTM...Sorry...but she was one of my least favorites and I am very disappointed she won...whatever...

The Fiercees...

My girls are dropping like flies...Lauren Brie hit the road.  I think she is one of the prettiest girls on the show and I am sad to see her go.  However, she is really stiff during the shoots and her pics have not been that great the past couple weeks.  Too bad!

Can I just make a mention that Marjorie's voice is about the most annoying sound I have ever heard.  Every time she talks my back just crawls...ewww!  And they keep praising the crap out of her....please, make it stop, I do not think she is even the least bit cute!  Let's just hope that my last pic can step it up and hang in there...Elina.  Oh, I am excited that next week they are doing their first commercial, which means the annoying Marjorie is going to fail miserably...hurray!

Wednesday night reality

ANTM:  There are just too many girls to even keep track of still...I only know that names of the girls who annoy! Case in point....Brittney.  Every time she was on the screen she talked about how she doesn't just want to be "pretty"...if life was only that hard!  Poor Brittney...not being talked about as high fashion and a "top model" already...poor baby....hey...GO HOME!  Yipee..she's gone!  Oh...the photo shoot this week was swimsuits!  And really...they didn't have horrible things to say about any of the shots....so not a entirely eventful shoot.  BUT...the best part of the show...MAKEOVERS!!!  Love that!  And of course...all the after shots were a huge improvement over the blah blah looks from before.  I would like to go on the show simply to have my haircut by a very expensive hair dresser....

Project Runway...the designers designed outfits for recent college grads, as they enter the workforce.  BIG CATCH: mommy is along for the ride.  And when I say ride, I mean highly opinionated and overbearing...well this shall be fun!  Okay...really....who 

wears these clothes? Normally when I ask this question on a typical week...the answer is, only on the runway...but this week they are to design for normal everyday people doing everyday jobs...so seriously, who wears

 these clothes?  The winner: Jarell....His outfit was fine.  I, of course, like Korto's the best.  Oh well...at least she was in the top 3.  The loser: Joe.  Thank goodness....he isn't a good designer and his outfit was terrible....

Top Design...and if you are a fan of project runway...this is a happy night for you.  Former project runway contestants are the clients for the designers.  The challenge: design a store front for an outfit designed by the project runway person...following?  Have I used the word design

 enough?  I LOVE this show...I am just amazed at these people and how they are able to come up with such amazing ideas...the colors they choose and accessories...I just wish I could do it!  The "TOP DESIGN": Ondine and Natalie.  They designed for Sweet Pea and I loved it.  The loser....Kerry "Big Daddy" and Wisit (who sucks).  Unfortunately, Kerry was sent home.  I am very sad because I really like him.  Chazi (sp?)...is a terrible designer...okay...maybe not terrible...but is riding coattails big time!!!  I wish she and Wisit would go!  My fav designers right now are Natalie and Andrea (aka...Ricky Schroeder's wife).  

Where do they get these girls?

For many "cycles" (10 to be exact) I have avoided this show due to the ever present annoyance of one Tyra Banks.  Sorry if you are a fan...but I can't stand her...I even made the mistake of leaving the tv on when her talk show came on this afternoon...what the crap?!  But I digress...I made a decision that I would attempt to watch the show this "cycle" 11..maybe 'cause it's my favorite number, or maybe because I really need another show to fill my DVR with.  Well...I missed the first hour...maybe AJ can fill us in...but watched the 2nd hour and let me just say...I didn't hate it.  Tyra was not very present during this portion, until the end.  But the main reason I didn't hate it was because the girl that I wanted to reach through the screen and smack....was sent home...Woowoo!  What was even funnier was the fact that she fell to her knees and burst into tears...awesome!!!

Okay, on a side note...this "cycle" there is a transgendered female?male?...Isis.  So far the judges love her/him...maybe they just love the story....you decide!
