For many "cycles" (10 to be exact) I have avoided this show due to the ever present annoyance of one Tyra Banks. Sorry if you are a fan...but I can't stand her...I even made the mistake of leaving the tv on when her talk show came on this afternoon...what the crap?! But I digress...I made a decision that I would attempt to watch the show this "cycle" 11..maybe 'cause it's my favorite number, or maybe because I really need another show to fill my DVR with. Well...I missed the first hour...maybe AJ can fill us in...but watched the 2nd hour and let me just say...I didn't hate it. Tyra was not very present during this portion, until the end. But the main reason I didn't hate it was because the girl that I wanted to reach through the screen and smack....was sent home...Woowoo! What was even funnier was the fact that she fell to her knees and burst into tears...awesome!!!

Okay, on a side note...this "cycle" there is a transgendered female?male?...Isis. So far the judges love her/him...maybe they just love the story....you decide!

Seriously just be happy that you missed the first hour because you probably would have stopped watching. They did a Fashion institute and it was so CHEESY and annoying. I am sure if you watch The Soup (on E!) that you will see some of it. I don't know how he wouldn't make fun of it.
As far as the Isis thing I think they are keeping her/him because of the stroy, which may get on my nerves we will see.
First hour VERY rediculous....with Tyra acting like a ROBOT and the Jays LAb Workers. Stuuuu-piiiid.
I was afraid if Isis, but I have to say, watching the show just made me really sad for her/him. I can not imagine dealing with an issue like not even knowing your gender, and as the show went on I just called Isis..'her'.
I am so glad the "I was raised Mormon" girl DIDN'T make it (they had one last season, and.... surprise! she didn't want to do the nude shoot) and I was THRILLED with who they sent home.
Geeky home school girl is a testament to public shcools everywhere. Nuff said.
Anyway--- I love this show, for some freakish reason, with the revealing of the photos my favorite part. Once in a while, when I am really bored I may even practice making my "eyes smile" in the mirror.
I totally have to agree with RamSam...for so many reasons.
The first hour was scary. I am not sure what the inspriation was, but it was more freaky than fierce.
I think Isis' story is one that wins over the judges. it's strange. I am thinking the show is trying to make some statement and reach new people. Whatever.
I am glad the girl who went home did go home, and I am glad the girl who kept saying she was raised mormon left. She was annoying. I kind of like the alaska girl...just because she is different than all the other girls and genuinely seems thrilled at every new thing.
This is going to be a very crazy season!
