Brothers and Sisters...TT has asked me to be the "guest blogger" for tonight's performances, and I am grateful for the opportunity.
Randi and Evan: Jive... Wow, that was fast! Evan seemed a little too "Broadway" in his movements to me, but it sure was a FUN number. Is anyone else really impressed that Randi could jump up onto Evan with those thick legs?
Melissa and Ade: Jazz... This choreographer (Sonja) is so weird. I don't love the outfits or all the lifting...that did not seem like a jazz routine to me (with my EXTENSIVE jazz experience...). Nigel said it...this was a "quirky" performance...but still interesting to watch.
Caitlin and Jason: Hip Hop... Jason makes these moves look very natural, but Caitlin moves so slowly...and she lost an earring. Lil C didn't love it...neither did I...it was missing "nectar"...whatever that means. I agree with Mary...they were not in sync. Nigel thought it looked good...maybe he needs to update the prescription on his contacts.
Janette and Brandon: Disco...We have not had much luck in past years with Disco...WOW, that was REALLY fast! Janette really needs to close her mouth...and Brandon looked a little lost there for a minute... but I think this was the best Disco we've ever seen. I didn't see the trip, Janette totally covered it up! However...when did the term "NOT" come back into style? Come on Mary...
Asaka and Vitolio: Waltz...That was pretty graceful and lovely. Mary is crying...awesome. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm a big Enya fan and I thought this choreography mixed with the music was just beautiful. I didn't love this couple last week, but I really liked this dance.
Kayla and Max: Pop Jazz... This reminds me of an 80's music video...very interesting choreography. The judges loved it...especially Kayla (but I preferred Max...I'm glad Nigel thinks he is like Kevin Spacey). I thought the story was very interesting and entertaining...
Karla and Jonathon: Contemporary...He doesn't seem fluid enough for this style, but she has some beautiful movements...but I'm not believing the story they are trying to portray with this number. Mary thought he did this style better than his own?!?!? Hmmm... Sensational? Buck? I don't know...it was just okay for me, Dogg.
Janine and Philip: Tango...Philip's outfit sucks, and his lines are not great. It was fun to watch still, and I have to give him props due to his lack of training. I think if people just focus on Janine, she had a pretty good technical performance and the judges aren't even talking about her at all.
Ashley and Kupono: Hip Hop...That was a pretty fun routine, but I think she out danced him. This was not the best hip hop routine we have ever seen, but Mary was a little harsh in her judgement. I agree with Lil C...Kupono struggled, but Ashley was good.
Overall, I was disappointed with this week compared to last week. Oh well...please leave your bottom 3 couples and the boy and girl you think will be going home in the comments. Good luck!

Going Home: Jeanine & Kopono
Thank you Jo-Dan for helping me out...I was too tired and to "foggy headed" to even how a straight thought about this show...so I am watching it now. My overall thoughts...Love Cat...don't love the big bow on her shoulder. Love that Shane Sparks is back...wish that the dancers did a little better justice to his choreography. Hate that they have to share "secrets"...it's just stupid.
Thought Randi and Evan did great! I really like them and it irritates me that the judges were a little harsh on them...for us non ballroom folk...we don't care about Randi's lack of bouncy whatever. They are just too cute!
yes Sonja is weird but I LOVE Melissa and Ade and thought they did great.
Heaven help Caitlin and Jason on this Hip Hop...I so felt for Shane. Did you notice how he sat there just straight faced as the judges slammed the dancers. I'm not sure what Nigel saw either...'cause it was B-A-D.
I am usually not a fan of the disco and I am NOT a fan of Janette and Brandon (they both totally bug me)...but I actually didn't mind this one.
The waltzes on this show are always very beautiful...I just don't like this couple...
Kayla is a very beautiful dancer...and Max did very well for a ballroom guy. Still not one of my fav performances.
I'm not sure how much I like Karla and Jonathon as people (not dancers)...but I did like their cha-cha last week...and I LOVE this song...and I really liked this performance. Although...I felt like we have seen similar choreography from Mia.
This tango was a bit painful for me...I don't like to critique ballroom 'cause if it looks good I don't care about feet and carriage, etc...but man were his feet BAD!!! I just hope Philip's "following" carries them through to another week and a different genre.
And the final Hip Hop...I actually really enjoyed it...and then the judges were kinda railing on Kupono and I realized that I watched Ashley through the whole performance and thought she "rocked it"...
Overall...I agree with JO-Dan...definitely not as good as last week!
