You all know by now that I have taken to this season of the bachelor much more then I thought I would...but really, Jason is too sweet/nice a guy...with too big a heart for this show...I feel bad for him. But..he knew what he was getting into...well maybe?! Keep in mind one thing...Jason's face is beyond easy to read...you can so tell when he is uncomfortable or thinking "what the crap?"
The hometown/meet the family dates....how fun!
Let's start off with Jillian...Jillian is my favorite and she moved up even farther after this day with her family. My personal opinion...they were the most normal family of the 4. Yes, her mom suffered from depression and the family went through some serious hard and trying times...but they got through it together and appear to be doing fantastic. The one thing that I noticed...Jason had a smile on his face the whole day...everyone was laughing and chatting and having a great time...there didn't seem to be any awkward moments (or looks on his face)...even with Grandma busted out the canadian boxers and dad sang "O, Canada"...just funny. Jillian's mom asked really good questions and Jason answered well...and then asked her some good questions...I really enjoyed watching this family interact with Jason!
Molly...why does she annoy me so much? She wears so much make-up and I just wanted to brush her ponytail at the rose ceremony. And the thing about golf....I think she may have thought that Jason was a bit more into golf then he is...but that is all she would talk about..."every sunday, golfing with the family"...then there was her mom...seemingly normal looking lady...till she put the hat on, and made Jason become "the chief"...really...what mother would do this the first time she met her daughter's "boyfriend" and on national tv...atleast pretend you are as normal as you look. And I don't think that dad said more then a couple of words. Then there was the drawing...yes, please let me draw a picture of your daughter since I have never drawn before and why don't you hover over my shoulder. Jason's face...many times with "that look" on it...but not as many times as when he visited with....
Naomi's family....OH MY GOSH!!! Aside from the whole suicidal dove that was laid to rest...my favorite line of the night "what I learned about Naomi's dad tonight is that he really loves Jesus"...awesome. Second favorite part was when Naomi remembered that religion is/was a big part of her life and maybe she should have talked to Jason a bit more about that before she brought him home...really? You're just now thinking that would have been a good idea? Did anyone else notice the slot machines in the background when Jason was chatting with dad...guess his love of Jesus extends to his love of pulling the arm...But the day kept getting better...now let's sit down with the mom alone and her belief in reincarnation...yes, I totally agree...Jason had to have been a mother in a previous life....CA-RAZY! If Naomi did think that her family would be the kiss of death...she is in denial. I know, I know...he said it's because he doesn't believe she is really ready to settle down (which I also agree with)...but really, who could knowingly and willingly join that family?! Of course...atleast Naomi had a family to meet...
Melissa....ok, so I understand that maybe her family doesn't want to be on tv...I understand that they are very private people...but raise your hand if you think there is something else going on there. None of her friends know her parents...they have never come to watch her perform as a Dallas cheerleader....but then she describes her mom as nurturing and her dad as adventurous. My guess is that growing up her parents were totally involved...and something has happened more in her adult life that is keeping them away. I just don't buy (completely) the camera shy thing...also, based on previews for next week, it sounds like she hasn't even spoken to them...something is up my reality friends, something is up! I am not entirely sure how much I buy the closeness to the friends...there is just something going on there! However...I did think it was cute that she made a money box for Ty's tooth money.
Okay...so you should know by know that Naomi is gone. I was not surprised after last weeks and this weeks episode that she was the next to go...however, I was a little surprised at how much he likes Molly...can I just say that when he made the comment about her being willing to stay over with him and how much that meant to him because it showed she trusted him...WHAT??? Wouldn't you rather be with a girl that respects herself enough to say that she should probably go home and sleep in her own bed...maybe that's just me! Anyway...he likes Molly...so she gets to head to New Zealand with Jillian and Melissa...and of course....
Deanna...my guess, she didn't find out they were going to be in New Zealand so she flew herself there...pretty sure the producers were like hey, now that he has fallen for these other girls...let's call her up (since she is available...nice pick on Jessie) and see if she wants a free trip and to cause Jason some more pain...what the crap....? I think that whole thing is going to be pretty dumb...they also said later in the season about that...I thought we only had 2 episodes left...and are we going to get the bachelor reunion before the final rose...so many questions. I am not entirely thrilled to watch next week...I hate this episode in the show 'cause it is just more over the top dates with way too much water and making out...then that room card that, even if you didn't want to use...you do! So here's to next monday with a lot of lip action...and I don't mean the talking kind...bleh!

I wish someone had been there to take pictures of his face when the funeral was taking place. It was priceless. It will be interesting to see how this next round of dates does with the family part out of the way.
