And the winner is...

I'm sorry, I'm so sorry...I know I was supposed to post this several days ago because Teri was at youth conference, but I ended up going out of town as well and did not have Internet access. I will try to keep my comments short because I know you are all dying to know who the winner is.

Did anyone else almost pee their pants because they were so terrified of the dancing bunnies? They were so creepy! I'm with Ramsam...I LOVED the pop battle, but I was disappointed with the result. I thought that Phil totally rocked the house and should have won. I'll admit that Robert can do some creepy things with his body, but he just kept doing the same thing over and over again, while Phil was not only more musical, but he was way more creative. And we have to discuss the judges choices for their favorite dances of the season (I'll be quick, I promise!) I have to admit...when Twitch was talking about his favorite dance being the Viennese Waltz with Kherrington and they showed the dance again...I shed a few tears. There were several dances that I wish now I had watched over again because they were so moving, and I'm glad the judges brought them out again. I was disappointed with some of the choices (specifically the hip hop with Twitch and Comfort), but happy with the majority of the choices. I'm glad I still have this on my DVR so I can watch it again!

Ok, now let's get down to business. The finalists were kicked off in the following order: Courtney, Katee, Twitch...with Josh as our winner.

One thing I would like to point out is that when they are kicked off in the final, they never, ever say that this is the "place" that they are receiving (fourth, third, etc). Do I think that Katee received more votes that Twitch? Yes. But I also think that the producers felt like America, as a whole, wanted to see the hip hoppers battle it out for the title, because we have never even had one hip hopper in the finale (to my recollection).

The final points are as follows:
Carol: 15 points (for Courtney and Joshua) total: 128
Calvin: 5 points (for Courtney) total: 120
Angela: 5 points (for Courtney) total: 118
Jorden: 15 points (for Courtney and Joshua) total: 108
Teri: 15 points (for Courtney and Joshua) total: 106
Ramsam: 15 points (for Courtney and Joshua) total: 65

Congratulations to Carol, who has been dominating our reality competitions! First AI, now SYTYCD! Way to go Carol! You will find out what your award will be as soon as Teri is able to post, I'm sure. Ramsam...I wish I had been able to see you in Cats...in fact, I think you should post a video reenacting your performance. Now, my closing remarks are as follows: Joshua in Step Up 3-D...I can't wait!

It is about time...I just want to say that I LOVED the finale....I LOVED the "redances"...except the twichington one, the rumba with K-gev and the Twitch/comfort. I am SOOOOO glad that we got to see the "no air" hip hop with Katee and Josh and the Hip hop with Mark and Chelsea...those are 2 of my fav performances of the year. I will also be honest in saying that I teared up when they did the "sytycd all-stars" I loved seeing some of those people again. I did not like when all 20 danced, okay, I liked the dance but who? were most of those people? Anyway...I felt that this finale, as a whole, was by far the best. I loved that Mary and Nigel danced...I thought Mary did a fine job and Nigel highly impressed me. Katee was also impressive that after she lost, she still did numerous oncore performances. I don't think that the producers rigged anything. Twitch is a hug favorite of America's (not mine) and I really believe that he was in the top 2. Also....a female contemp dancer won last year..and I really think America was going for the hip hop boys! I really did like Katee and felt that she did deserve 2nd....but I am ecstatic that Josh took it all....Go Josh!

I have to comment on the dancing bunnies- because they were a little creepy, and it kind of ruined some of the childhood warm fuzzies I get thinking about Beatrix Potter. I thought it was cool, and I want to go (my husband is balking at the ticket price) but I am so in love with Wade that, much like Debbie Allen, I can not fairly judge his work.

I am a bit competitive, so I have to say I am just glowing a bit that didn't come in last (but no hard feelings Chelsea and Janet, right?).

I was so impressed that Katee could come on and dance like she did- especially "Mercy", after being told she didn't take the title. So happy they gave her some cash- that girl deserves it! Is it really another year before we do it all again?
Snap! When does American Idol start? (BTW- did you see Clay Aiken is dad now? Scary- and I liked him back in the day!)
