A Dancing Twist...

Because I knew Jessica was leaving because of a medical issue, I was expecting her to come out on stage with crutches or something...but alas, her ribs are broken, so she walked out as if nothing was the matter. Since I recently had a cracked rib, I know a little of the pain that she was going through...but a REAL dancer would have pushed through the pain. But maybe this is why she was not very good...She's lucky that she gets to go on tour, and Comfort is lucky to be back...and she will probably be going on tour as well, in case Jessica is unable to dance. I also need to mention that I totally forgot that the dancer with the lowest votes from America will be going home...the judges no longer have a say in who really goes home, so that should effect our voting this week.

Courtney and Joshua: Hip hop...this was a fun routine to watch, Josh totally lived up to his style, and I thought Courtney was pretty good...maybe not as hard hitting as we might have liked, but I think her character allowed for her to dance the way she did and look great doing it.

Chelsea: I'm not a fan of her constant hip turns...it was not great for me, but I still like her.

Kherrington and Mark: Two step...First, I must say, I'm not a country dancing fan...and does anyone else think it's weird to see a pregnant woman dancing? Kherrington looked totally lost at the beginning of the dance and several times throughout...I did not like this dance, they looked like amateurs...like I could have done that routine (and maybe I will at the finale party just to show you how crappy they were).

Gev: I'm pretty sure he missed a jump in there at the beginning...when he was trying to jump over his leg but didn't quite make it. I don't think it was a great individual performance.

Comfort and Twitch: Smooth Waltz...two hip hoppers doing a smooth waltz...I noticed that Comfort was not able to look Twitch in the eye (possibly because she would have started laughing), and I don't think that they had chemistry at all, but I thought Twitch looked great. The judges kept saying that this was not "good enough for a top ten dancer"...well, if they recall, Comfort is not a top ten dancer...but could Jessica really have done better, even with ribs that were whole.

Courtney: her individual dance was what I would have expected from a contemporary dancer...

Katee and Will: I thought they really stayed in character very well, and the dancer was really good. I guess I don't hate Katee as much as I used to...and I agree with Nigel...I totally understand why they are in the top 10.

Mark: Well, he certainly has personality, but I wanted to see him use more of the stage...and Kat was all over him this time (now that Thayne is gone).

Chelsea and Gev: Contemporary...with Sonya (who scares me a bit). I liked the choreography, and I totally felt a connection between these two (perhaps because Gev is super horny...and it really doesn't matter which girl he gets to touch because he loves them all).

Comfort: Not great...and I believe I saw a couple of missed steps in there.

Twitch: I like how he added some contemporary-ness to his hip hop routine...and he totally commands and owns the audience.

Courtney and Josh: Rumba...Josh in his tight pants again...I don't know if I totally believed the chemistry between these two during this routine, but I thought the dancing was beautiful. Josh is definitely one of the most versatile dancers out there...he can do anything and everything really well. Josh is such a character...I love it!

Katee: This contemporary dancing was the best of the individuals so far for the night.

Kherrington and Mark: Jazz...Better than their first routine, but Kherrington was not great...I really liked Mark, he was spot on.

Will: His dancing was good, but I think I prefer him when he dances with other people...he still reminds me a lot of Danny last year.

Comfort and Twitch: hip hop...how did they get so lucky? From two hip hoppers, I expect perfection...and they didn't disappoint too much. I thought a couple of other girls did the heart beat/breathing move at the end much better throughout the season so far, but they were very hard hitting. It was "buck"...

Kherrington: I am no longer her biggest fan...I don't think she knows what to do with herself now that she is not partnered with Twitch. Her dancing was ok, but it didn't seem like she did much at all.

Katee and Will: Pas de Deux (I had to look at C's comments to find out how to spell that)...Will without a shirt...again...and in daisy duke's...Katee was a pretty good gumby, and the routine was great. this is a really good partnership. I don't see how this was any different than normal contemporary dancing...and I think I was looking down at my computer when Katee did her big screw up, so I'm glad they showed it again.

Josh: Best hip hop solo of the night...which is why he is the best at what he does. I would like to see him in the top four. He also did a great job playing up to the crowd.

Chelsea and Gev: Jive...the best Jive routine so far? I don't know. I don't know much about technique...but I am so proud of Gev for keeping up with Cortney and the choreography. It was very entertaining and soooo fast. Way to go!

Ok, get your votes into me before the show tonight!

This is a hard week for me because with America doing all the voting, it really could be anyone! But here are my votes:

Bottom 3 boys:
Mark
Gev
Twitch

Bottom 3 girls:
Comfort
Kherrington
Courtney

Going home: Mark and Kherrington (I think that Comfort's fans know she's at risk, so they will vote like crazy!)

Jo-Dan, I totally agreed with so much of what you have commented on! I didn't catch your post yesterday, so I was shocked when they said she was out. I pictured Teri screaming, "This isn't fair! I need the points!" We all know Jessica would have gone home this week. Sorry, Teri! As Jessica came on stage to annouce the plan, the host was saying, "You're so brave" and I thought--"WHAT?" What's brave about being dismissed for "medical issues" and still getting to tour without having the embarassing issue of being voted off? Whimp.

The first dance. All I wrote for comments was "Spankinstien?" That was an odd term. It was okay.

The two step: Is that safe to do while you are pregnant? I don't think so. The dance sucked a lot.

(What's up with Little C? He doesn't seem to know what he is going to say. And he needs to cut his fingernails. I know it's my pet peeve when men have long nails, but if I can see it on TV...it's time!)

Comfort and Twitch waltz: I wanted to like them, but it was a bit forced. It didn't suck, but wasn't great.

Will and Katee broadway: This was the first dance of the night that I really liked. I am liking Katee more and more and it shocks me. But, she is one dancer who held her own before and even with a change of partners is doing a great job.

Chelsie and Gev: my notes say, "What the hell was that routine? It's as scary as Sonjya's hair and persona!" I liked how they gave themselves to the dance and committed, but it was still strange.

Comfort: I am over her, but she didn't do the worse tonight. Her solo bored me, but she totally made up for it in her INCREDIBLE dance with Twitch.

Twitch: He is very loved by the crowd and I am also a fan.

Josh and Courtney's second dance was hot. Maybe not the most perfect Rhumba, but I liked to watch it and I liked it.

Kerrington and Mark--what up with that jazz number? Lame.

Katee and Will's pas de deux was new to me, but I was rivited and watched it twice. It was cool.

How many are we putting in the bottom? I am confused here. I'll do same as Jo-dan Here are my bottoms:
Mark
Gev
will

Comfort
Kerrington
cortney

Going home:
Kerrington and Mark.

I wrote their names down to go home and it wasn't until the re-cap that I actually realized they were partners. Oh well.

Sorry for the typo-s. This comment section needs spell-check!
